Websites Need SEOIf you are planning to get a website, and planning to make money through that website, it is not a good idea to go for the cheapest site you can get. You are better to spend that extra money and have your website optimized for search engines, so your potential clients are able find your website. You have a business that offers guided wildlife and scenic photographic tours, all accommodation and transportation cost you are thinking about getting, or need your present website rebuilt. When you think of a website, if you can compare it to the price a brochure, a website is by far cheaper than brochures. It would it cost approximately $15,000-$20,000 to have 50,000 professional brochures designed, printed in full color, delivered to you and distributed through local tourist information centers, travel agents etc. Then of course there the whole cost again in 6-9 months. If you spent that same initial amount having a professional website built and extensive SEO (which I will explain later) work done on the website, you could realistically expect to have at least 10,000 new visitors to your website each month. By the time, the site was 6 months old, and 20,000 new visitors plus returning ones by the time the site was a year old. People all over the world can visit it the website year round, unlike getting changes made to a brochure, small changes cost around $25-$50 each or you can do them yourself if you choose to have a CMS website. Ongoing fee NZer's to keep a website online are minimal at around $150 a year for the domain name and hosting. Brochures on the other hand require reprinting etc repeatedly. We would make sure you had a CMS website which means you can make small changes to the web pages yourself if you wanted. The CMS website would include a photo gallery, where you could display some of your clientele photos, which will interest your possible new clients, and you adding more photos when you feel like it. We would ensure you knew how to use the CMS website. You could also have online booking system, maybe even a mini calendar showing what parts of the year are best for what particular wildlife viewing and show when you had space for more bookings. These extras could be added later as the site becomes more successful or right at the start. Part of the initial cost of building a website is designated for customizations to suit your particular business. The keys to website optimization is adding new content regularly, with this is mind a CMS website, you can simply add your own web pages, you could invite clients to write testimonials, or write short stories about their experiences and you could simply add these pages. You may of course prefer to concentrate on your business and have us make changes and add pages all options are catered to your needs, you may just upload photos, the choice is yours. Other ways you can add new content to your website is to start a blog, where you can write about things that are happening in your immediate area, local or international community business community that could or have impacted on your business. Or make your own web page talking about funny stories of clients you have had. If you then have the extra money or can see the benefit of the site to your business you can pay off the balance, most web designers like to be paid up front. If you are going to have a website made, spend more on it initially, have it customized to your business unique needs and websites optimization. A site that will rank highly in search engines for hundreds or even thousands of keywords/key phrases that people searching for the services or products you provide would actually use in a search engine, and save yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars over the next 5 years of business.
